Privacy policy

COA Guide is a small educational website. We try to collect as little information about you as possible. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect and why.

No accounts

You can read everything on this site without signing up or logging in. We don't offer user accounts, comments or purchases, so we don't hold passwords or payment details.

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how it handles this data. We don't use these logs to identify individual visitors.

Cookies and tracking

We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in the future, we'll update this page first.

Our free weekly newsletter, Flags & Fakes, is delivered through Beehiiv. If you subscribe:

We ask only for your email address.
We use it only to send the newsletter.
Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.
Beehiiv stores subscriber emails on our behalf under its own privacy policy.

We don't sell your data

We don't sell, rent or trade personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Affiliate and sponsor disclosure

COA Guide currently has no affiliate links or sponsors. If we add any, we'll clearly label affiliate links and sponsored content where they appear and update this page. Sponsors and affiliates will never influence our authenticator profiles, which are based only on cited sources (see Methods & disclaimer).

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
